A week in Nice (and around)

I must admit that I do love the French riviera, yes I do. And especially Nice. The coastline seems to have it all: The warm weather, the refined cuisine, the laid back attitude, the ever-present history behind every corner and, of course, inexpensive wine. The region also hosts a plethora of art museums and natural wonders no matter which road you take out of Nice.

If you are more interested in glamour or spending your money on things you don’t need, that should not pose a problem: Cannes and Monaco are situated to the east and to the west of Nice. You don’t even have to rent a car, as trains (cheap) and busses (1 € per ride!) travel frequently along the coast. But if you do rent a car, you might get to see places and sights such as in the gallery below.
